IMPORTANT NOTE

These trends are for you to use as you please. I have taken them from Horseracebase.com. They have been written objectively and this is not a race preview. For those that like trends and/or like having a bet on the TV races hopefully you find these useful. I know trends are not everyone’s cup of tea but I find they help in narrowing the field.

If you would like a preview of this race, and another from Wincanton, you should head over to www.geegeez.co.uk and read the preview there. Also using Horseracebase.com trends as a starting point.

Enjoy your Saturday and Your weekend. By close of play Monday I hope the blog function, with comments will be enabled/formatted correctly.

  1. Hi Josh
    That was good!
From your analysis managed to get it down to 5 out of 18. Which was great as they included first 3 which managed to back ew and also sf , tricast. Small stakes but good effort keep them coming!

  2. Hi Andrew,

Great stuff, that is the power of trends for races with a decent history, narrow down the field and then use your own analysis/betting approach.

I suspect we had the same list and I did back the winner, although I had more on Standing Ovation -which in hindsight with the rain the ground went against him, a bit on the soft side maybe – that makes him 0/7 on soft or heavy (if it was soft) and Jock never looked happy.

Anyway, a great results for our trends shortlist, and glad you made a few quid!

There will be plenty more don’t worry!

  3. Hello Josh, In Nick Mordins book he had a great piece on using exactas when trying to boost his winnings from single win bets.

Steve Christ exotic betting book goes into exactas and tricasts in more detail.Although written for USA horseracing much can be gleaned from his approach.
    Regards Mike

  4. Hi Mike

Thanks for that..yes at the moment I am a very boring single/two point level stakes punter..and I really do need to get into more exotic betting,so your suggestion is much appreciated, I will check it out. cheers
